It feels like the blink of an eye, but we’re in the final quarter of the 2022 NFL season. This has been a year of parody so far and because of that, very few teams have been completely eliminated from the playoff race. There’s still a lot of football left but for now let’s take a look at our NFL Week 14 picks, odds, and game previews.
New York Jets (+390) at Buffalo Bills (-157) – Sunday, 1:00PM EST
The objective is clear for the Jets: win and get within one game of the Bills for the AFC East lead. However, if they lose and fall to 7-6, it could put them at the bottom of the division. The Jets understand that Josh Allen and the Bills offense are going to move the ball. Where they have to tighten up is in the red zone and prevent Allen from throwing deep to wide receiver Stefon Diggs. It’s the classic “bend, don’t break” mentality that the defense will follow.
On offense, Mike White and the rest of the team will have to do a better job at converting redzone opportunities than they did last week against the Vikings. How the Jets move the ball against the Bills defense will be one of the key matchups in this one.
New York Jets Notable Injuries: DE Micheal Clemons (Q), OT Cedric Ogbuehi (O), OT Max Mitchell (O)
Buffalo will be seeking revenge in Sunday’s game after suffering defeat against New York just over a month ago. They’ll have to do it without veteran linebacker Von Miller. Miller will miss the rest of the season after undergoing ACL surgery earlier this week.
Josh Allen and Diggs will connect at least a handful of times, and the Jets know this, so they will double team Diggs all afternoon. It will be interesting to see if rookie sensation “Sauce” Gardner will matchup mostly on Diggs or keep to his side. Allen hasn’t played against the Jets particularly well, but he looks to change that in this divisional game.
Bils Notable Injuries: DT Jordan Phillips (O), FB Reggie Gilliam (O), OT Dion Dawkins (Q)

Jets vs Bills NFL Week 14 Picks
The AFC East is arguably the toughest division the NFL, and games between the Bills and Jets always seem to be close. Because of this it’s surprising that Buffalo comes into this game as 10 point favorites. In this rematch, the Bills will take the second meeting between the two this season. However, it will be in a game that comes down to the final minutes of the 4th quarter.
Final Score: Bills 27- Jets 24

Philadelphia Eagles (-315) at New York Giants (-110) – Sunday, 1:00PM EST
Philadelphia is sitting at an impressive 11-1, but they’ve had some surprisingly close games against a few teams. It is for this reason that they will have their hands full with the Giants.
Their offense has nothing to worry about. Quarterback Jalen Hurts is the MVP front runner and has the Eagles ranked at #2 in terms of points scored per game. The defense is another story, as they either show up, or just let the opposing offense run the ball at will. If Philly can stop Saquon, they will win this game handedly, but they’re ranked 17th against the run so we’ll see how that goes.
Eagles Notable Injuries: S C.J. Gardner-Johnson (O), LB Shaun Bradley (O)
The Giants started off the year hot with a 6-1 record, but since then they’ve gone 1-3-1. New York’s biggest issue during their skid has been their inability to establish the run game. It’s simple for the Giants. If Saquon gets it going, they can control the clock and keep the ball out of Hurts’ hands. There’s no doubt that the Eagles will score when they get the ball, so the Giants will have to make the most out of their possessions. When the Eagles are involved in close games, it’s due to their defense not being able to stop the run, and that’s the Giants only hope. Quarterback Daniel Jones has shown he can’t win a game all by himself and he’ll need the ground game going.
Giants Notable Injuries: G Shane Lemieux (O), G Joshua Ezeudu (O), RB Saquon Barkley (Q)

Philadelphia Eagles vs New York Giants NFL Week 14 Picks
Jalen Hurts will put on yet another show on Sunday and lead his team to their 12th victory of the year, but the Giants will definitely put up a fight. Divisional games are generally close, so the Giants as 7 point underdogs is enticing.
Final Score: Philadelphia 24 – New York 20
Wicked Wagers – Giants +7 (-110) / Under 45 (-113)
Wicked Player Prop – A.J. Brown First Touchdown Scorer (+540)
Jacksonville Jaguars (+175) at Tennessee Titans (-200) – Sunday, 1:00 PM EST
Jacksonville has lost 2 out of their last 3 and were uncharacteristically blown out by the Lions last week. They’re 4-8, which is obviously not good, but most of their losses have been by just a handful of points. Sunday’s game is sure to be a low scoring one as both of these teams are in the bottom half in points scored per game. Jacksonville will only have to worry about stopping running back Derrick Henry. If they can stop the King, they’ll have a good chance at defeating the Titans as their opposing offense is pretty one dimensional.
Jaguars Notable Injuries: LB Chad Luma (O), QB Trevor Lawrence (Q), WR Zay Jones (Q)
The Titans are 7-5, but they just fired their general manager earlier this week after a humiliating loss to the Eagles. They have a solid defense, but their offense cannot move the ball unless Derrick Henry does it himself since Tennessee traded their star wide receiver, A.J. Brown over the offseason. Henry has had a solid year, but we’ve only seen 1 of those monster 200+ yard and 2 touchdown games this year. I would say he’s due for a huge game, but it’ll be tough against a defense that is ranked 10th against the run.

Jacksonville Jaguars’ vs Tennessee Titans NFL Week 14 Picks
This one has the under written all over it, and I’m going with the upset. The Jaguars will stack the box to limit Derrick Henry, and the Titans have essentially no options at the wide receiver position to move the ball with Ryan Tannehill at quarterback. Tennessee’s secondary is decimated with injuries and Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence will be able to do just enough.
Final Score: Jacksonville 20 – Tennessee 17
Wicked Wagers – Jaguars +3.5 (-113) / u41 Points (-113)
Wicked Player Prop – Derrick Henry First Touchdown Scorer (+480)
Minnesota Vikings (+110) at Detroit Lions (-130) – Sunday 1:00 PM EST
One week after pulling out another close game at home against the Jets, the Vikings head to Detroit for a Week 3 rematch against their division rival. In that first game the Lions lead by 10 points in the fourth quarter before Kirk Cousins led a pair of touchdown drives to win. This season, 9 of the 10 Minnesota wins have been by one score but different elements of the team step up: if the offense isn’t at its best the defense comes through, when Justin Jefferson has a slower game Dalvin Cook dominates, etc. This week to beat Detroit, they will need everything working for them. In the first matchup, wide receiver Justin Jefferson did not have a huge impact, but the ever-improving Detroit defense will be difficult to score on without his presence being felt.
Playoff Implications: The Vikings clinch division with a win.
Minnesota Vikings Notable Injuries: C Garrett Bradbury (Q), TE Irv Smith Jr. (IR), S Harrison Smith (Q)
Detroit comes into this game winning 4 of the last 5 games, possibly keeping themselves in the playoff conversation in the NFC. For most of the season, the Lions’ offense has been explosive (score over 26 points per game) but last week was a commanding route of a Jacksonville defense that had been stable. The key for Detroit is like Minnesota, a balanced attack that keeps the defense guessing. Last week, the Lions scored 4 touchdowns using 2 separate running backs and 2 scores through the air. To keep up with Minnesota, they will need the same but with more balance in the passing game (opening the field for wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown).
Playoff Implications: The Lions currently have a 5.0% chance of making the playoffs.
Detroit Lions Notable Injuries: G Evan Brown (D), Chase Lucas (Q), WR Kalif Raymond (Q), Jeff Okudah (Q)

Minnesota Vikings vs Detroit Lions NFL Week 14 Picks
While this game really could go either way, there is no denying the will of Minnesota to win games. Some wins have not made them look like the second-best team in the NFC, including last week, but in tight games they pull through with spectacular Justin Jefferson catches, timely interceptions, or fourth quarter comebacks. Look for the Vikings to win another hard-fought game on the final drive of the game.
Final Score: Minnesota 31 – Detroit 28
Wicked Wagers – Vikings ML (+110) / Over 52 (-110)
Wicked Player Prop – Amon-Ra St. Brown Total Receptions Over 7.5 (+105)
Baltimore Ravens (+110) at Pittsburgh Steelers (-130) – Sunday 1:00 PM EST
Week 14 will bring the first matchup between Baltimore and Pittsburgh in an AFC North that is far from decided. The Ravens come into this game off back-to-back games decided by a single point, a loss to Jacksonville two weeks ago followed by a win against Denver. In the win, Baltimore lost their quarterback Lamar Jackson so it looks like it will be Tyler Huntley leading the offense. Last week off the bench, he threw for 187 yards and an interception, with a 78.0 rating. This week Huntley will be better prepared and should have a solid game. The Ravens may come into this game with even more pass plays in the game plan than normal, spreading the ball between tight end Mark Andrews and receivers Devin Duvernay and Demarcus Robinson.
Playoff Implications: The Ravens currently hold the top spot in the division based on a better division record but are otherwise tied with the Bengals. They have a 52% chance of winning the division and 93% chance of making the playoffs.
Baltimore Ravens Notable Injuries: Lamar Jackson (Q), Kevin Zeitler (Q), Daryl Worley (Q), Ronnie Stanley (Q), J.K. Dobbins (IR)
For Pittsburgh, a record 2 games below .500 seems less daunting when the team is on a 2-game win streak. With each game, it seems as though rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett gets better with play making and good decisions; he has not thrown an interception since Week 8 after throwing 8 in the first 5 games he played. This week he will need to continue that pattern and hit his tight end Pat Freiermuth in key plays (Baltimore has struggled stopping opposing tight ends this season). Pittsburgh running back Najee Harris is also coming off a game where he averaged over 5 yards per carry, but he will face a Baltimore defense that has held most running backs in check. If the Steelers want to open up the passing game Harris will need to be a threat, especially on early downs.
Playoff Implications: The Steelers have just over a 5% chance of making the playoffs.
Pittsburgh Steelers Notable Injuries: Larry Ogunjobi (Q), Chris Boswell (IR), Diontae Johnson (Q), T.J. Watt (Q), Najee Harris (Q)

Baltimore Ravens vs Pittsburgh Steelers NFL Week 14 Picks
This game is shaping up to be a classic Baltimore-Pittsburgh battle. Both teams will be led by quarterbacks who did not start Week 1 but the Steelers have the advantage of more experience with their quarterback. Watch for a low scoring match with neither team ever leading by more than one score.
Final Score: Pittsburgh Steelers 23 – Baltimore Ravens 20
Wicked Wager – Pittsburgh Steelers -2 (-110) / Over 37 (-110)
Wicked Player Prop – Najee Harris over 56.5 rushing yards (-105)
Cleveland Browns (+210) at Cincinnati Bengals (-250) – Sunday 1:00 PM EST
Cleveland waited all season for their high-paid quarterback to make his season debut and it was mediocre at best. Last week the Browns got their 5th win of the season but it was not due to quarterback Deshaun Watson, who threw for only 130 yards and an interception on a 53.4 rating. This week the Browns head to Cincinnati in the rematch of Week 8’s “Battle for Ohio”, looking to stay in the playoff picture. Cleveland’s defense came up big last week to get that win over Houston, but they will be put to the challenge against a Bengals’ offense with more talent. The defense will need to focus on stopping the Bengal running backs both on the ground and through the air, something they have not done well this season. The offense will absolutely need to find another gear as well, led by Watson and running back Nick Chubb. The rushing offense did have 175 yards last week and will need to find any hole possible against a defense allowing only 4 yards per carry.
Playoff Implications: The Browns have a 7% chance of making the playoffs, but another loss would significantly hurt those chances.
Cleveland Browns Notable Injuries: Sione Takitaki (IR), Anthony Schwartz (IR), Amari Cooper (Q)
Cincinnati comes into this game hot, on a 4-game win streak and a big win over Kansas City, again. Since losing to the Browns in Week 8, the Bengals have outscored opponents 126-91 while quarterback Joe Burrow has thrown 8 touchdowns to 2 interceptions in those 4 wins. Burrow also has his star receiver Ja’Marr Chase back, a piece that was missing in the loss to Cleveland before. Aside from his affinity to find the end zone and make big catches, Chase also opens the field for receivers Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins. Last week, the Bengals won without running back Joe Mixon but come into this game the healthiest they have been in awhile and will be able to use all weapons against the Cleveland defense.
Playoff Implications: The Bengals are tied with the Ravens for the division but trail in tiebreakers, they have a 43% chance of winning the division and 90% chance of making the playoffs.

Cleveland Browns vs Cincinnati Bengals NFL Week 14 Picks
It’s the battle for Ohio at Paycor Stadium. The Browns undoubtedly have done better this season than many fans expected, pulling out some big wins led by Jacoby Brissett. This week expect the Bengals to be too powerful for Cleveland to keep up. Even if the Browns are able to stunt the Cincinnati offense early, they will not be able to hold Burrow off the field all game. Look for Cincinnati to take this game without a whole lot of stress.
Final Score: Cincinnati 30 – Cleveland 20
Wicked Wager – Bengals -5.5 (-110)
Wicked Player Prop – Nick Chubb Total Rushing Yards Over 76.5 (-115)
Ja’Marr Chase Longest Reception Over 26.5 Yards (-115)
Kansas City Chiefs (-455) at Denver Broncos (+350) – Sunday, 4:05 PM EST
The Chiefs came up on the wrong side of another matchup with the Bengals last week. They won’t mind it one bit, if they get the upper hand in the postseason if the two sides face again. Andy Reid’s team has nothing to sweat in the AFC West the rest of the way. Some bettors decided to back the Broncos coming into the year, only to find out that Patrick Mahomes was still in charge of the division.
Patrick Mahomes will square off with one of the best passing defenses in the game. We’ve seen him torch just about everybody. The quarterback will be looking to fare well in his first matchup with Denver this year.
Kansas City Chiefs Notable Injuries: WR Kadarius Toney (Q)
The Broncos 32nd ranked scoring offense has lost all its hope. It seems like they’ve gotten worse as the season’s gone on. To make matters worse, this team does not seem set for the future, as they must pay Russell Wilson and they lost tons of draft capital trading for him. In what looked like it had the makings of the matchup of the year, Broncos fans now will just be hoping to see their team not get embarrassed by the Chiefs.
The Broncos are going to have to keep an eye on Travis Kelce, especially in the red zone. The tight end is tied for a league high 12 touchdowns. You can bet Mahomes will be looking to go his way when they get inside the Broncos 20 on Sunday.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+155) at San Francisco 49ers (-190) – Sunday, 4:25 PM EST
The Buccaneers will be coming off a massive come from behind win on Monday Night against the Saints. The comeback was encouraging but the team doesn’t appear to be on the same level as the 49ers. Tom Brady will be hoping to find a way to solve the defense of the team he grew up watching.
How Tom Brady handles San Francisco’s defense is going to be interesting. The Niners have the best running D in the game so the ball will likely be in Brady’s hands a lot. Don’t be surprised if he’s tasked with running another late game 2 minute drill.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers Notable Injuries: OL Tristan Wirfs (D), S Antoine Winfield (D), RB Leonard Fournette (Q)
The 49ers are still Super Bowl contenders despite their quarterback situation. Last week, Jimmy Garoppolo went down for the season, which opened the door for the Iowa State product, Brock Purdy. Purdy, 22, will be making his first career start against Tom Brady, who is playing in his 23rd season.
Brock Purdy will have quite the challenge vs the Buccaneers secondary. Look for Purdy’s pitch count to be in the 25-35 range. When he’s not dumping the ball off to McCaffery he’s going to have to make some big throws down the field.

Final Score: San Francisco 26 – Tampa Bay 20
Wicked Wagers – 49ers -3 (-113) / Over 37 (-112)
Wicked Player Prop – Tom Brady Passing Yards Over 252.5 (-113)
Miami Dolphins (-175) at Los Angeles Chargers (+143) – Sunday, 8:25 PM EST
The Dolphins suffered their first loss since Week 6 last week against the 49ers. Prior to that the offense had seemed unstoppable as it consistently put up 30 points a game. Tua Tagovailoa and company will look to get back on track this Sunday in Los Angeles. Tagovailoa will square off with another member of the 2020 draft class in Justin Herbert
Jeff Wilson’s role this week will be something to keep an eye on. Wilson only had one touch in last week’s loss to the Niners. Mike McDaniels should look to take some pressure off his young quarterback and give Wilson some more work, hoping the running back has a breakout game.
Miami Dolphins Notable Injuries: QB Teddy Bridgewater (Q), DT Terron Armstead (Q)
The Chargers have been underwhelming this year to say the least. The 2022 campaign was supposed to be a breakout year for Brandon Staley’s squad after nearly missing the playoffs last season. A loss last week in Vegas has made the Chargers outsiders in the playoff race. Something drastic will have to change if they want to make their first postseason appearance since 2018.
Austin Ekeler will be looking to have himself a day against a Dolphins defense that knows how to stop the run. Ekeler hasn’t put together the kind of year he had last year, but a breakout performance vs the Dolphins is exactly what his team needs.
