NFL Week 11 Picks, Previews, and Odds

by | Nov 19, 2022 | Football

The NFL Week 11 brings with it an excellent slate of games. There are key divisional matchups in the AFC East and North, as well as another difficult test for Minnesota. Our staff has broken down every game to find the best NFL Week 11 picks for each game. We’re well past mid-season, it’s time for the good teams to separate themselves from the pack.

Chicago Bears (+130) at Atlanta Falcons (-155) – Sunday, 1:00 PM EST

Most of the betting world thought the Bears would beat the Lions in week 10, but we were all wrong. Detroit put up three touchdowns in the final quarter and the score ended in favor of the Lions, 31-30. Justin Fields had yet another monster game with four total touchdowns. He added to that with 167 yards through the air and 147 yards on the ground.

It’s not Justin’s fault Chicago’s front office decided to trade away two of their best defensive players. The Bears are 3-point underdogs, and the only guarantee is Fields having another productive day fantasy-wise.

Chicago Bears Notable Injuries: OT Tevin Jenkins (Q), CB Dane Cruikshank (O), WR N’Keal Harry (O)

In week 10 against the Panthers, the Falcons looked flat-out awful. Quarterback Marcus Mariota has been praised for his ability to extend plays and make throws when he needed to. However, he had one of his worst performances of the year. They had very little success running the ball, which is their bread and butter. They’ll have a bit more luck against a Bears defense that isn’t playing for much. It’s a big if, but if Mariota can keep himself from turning the ball over, the Falcons have a good chance at winning this one.

Atlanta Falcons Notable Injuries: S Erik Harris (Q), CB A.J. Terrell (Q), TE Felipe Franks (O)

Bears vs Falcons NFL Week 11 Picks

It’ll be a close game, and the Bears giving up 21 points in one quarter certainly doesn’t instill confidence in their ability to win a game. Justin Fields is playing on a different level right now, and he’s single handedly carrying Chicago’s offense. He’s too hot to be kept in check by a Falcon’s defense that gave up 25 points last week. Take the Bears and the points.

Final Score: Atlanta 30 – Chicago 28

Wicked Wagers – Bears +3 (-130) / Over 49 (-110)

Wicked Player Prop – Justin Fields to Score 2+ Touchdowns (+470)

Philadelphia Eagles (-305) at Indianapolis Colts (+240) – Sunday, 1:00PM EST

Week 10’s Monday night game between the Eagles and Commanders was a head scratcher. It was a divisional game, most of which are almost always close. However, Philadelphia kept shooting themselves in the foot. It was turnover after turnover, and when it looked like the Eagles could come back, they coughed the ball up.

There were some questionable calls from the refs, which certainly didn’t help, but Philadelphia had their fair share of chances to win that game. What didn’t look good for the Eagles was their inability to stop the run. Did the Commanders expose Philly’s run defense?

Philadelphia Eagles Notable Injuries: CB Josh Jobe (O), TE Dallas Goedert (O)

It came down to the wire, but newly appointed head coach, Jeff Saturday came out on Sunday with a victory against the Las Vegas Raiders. They were scrappy on defense and their offensive line easily had their best performance. Running back Jonathan Taylor rushed for 147 yards on 22 carries with a touchdown. Against an Eagles team that just had their run defense exposed, don’t be surprised if Taylor rushes for another 150.

Eagles’ vs Colts NFL Week 11 Picks

The 7 points Vegas is giving Indianapolis is just too much to pass up. They won’t win the game, but they truly believe they can with their new coach and last week’s win. We’ll see once again that running the ball against the Eagles is the roadmap to beating them. However, Jalen Hurts and the Eagles offense will be too much for the Colts.

Final Score: Philadelphia 24 – Indianapolis 20

Wicked Wager – Colts +6.5 (-110)

Wicked Player Prop – Jalen Hurts First Touchdown Scorer (+550)

Los Angeles Rams (+132) at New Orleans Saints (-155) – Sunday, 1:00 PM EST

At 3-6, the Los Angeles Rams are still feeling the effects of a Super Bowl hangover. Their defense has been mediocre, and their offense hasn’t been able to find the success they had last year. Their struggles stem from their inability to run the ball. Also, to make matters worse, they likely just lost star wide receiver Cooper Kupp for the season. They’ve lost three in a row, and even though the Saints have more than a handful of players out for Sunday’s game, they’re still 2.5-point underdogs.

Los Angeles Rams Notable Injuries: WR Cooper Kupp (O), LB Travin Howard, C Brian Allen (O)

The Saints, like the Rams, are having an equally disappointing year. They haven’t been able to find their week in and week out quarterback. Plus, wide receiver Michael Thomas barely even played before being shut down for the year. Alvin Kamara has tried to carry the offense and has done it at times. However, for the most part, the load has been too heavy. The Saints coaches are sticking with Andy Dalton after a horrible performance against the Steelers last week. Though don’t rule out that we may see Jameis Winston soon.

Neither of these teams instill confidence, but since the Rams are a little healthier, that’s my lean. Their secondary is decimated with injuries so Matt Stafford will be able to move the chains with his feet.

Carolina Panthers (+490) at Baltimore Ravens (-660) – Sunday, 1:00 PM EST

The Panthers will be coming off a mini bye after picking up a Thursday night victory in Week 10. At 3-7, this team isn’t destined for a playoff run. Following PJ Walker being ruled out with an ankle injury, Baker Mayfield is set to get the start. Mayfield has underperformed in his time in Carolina, which is the reason for him getting pulled. He’ll have a chance to win the job back this Sunday in Baltimore.

After trading away Christian McCaffrey, the Panthers are left thin at the play making positions. D’Onta Foreman and DJ Moore will be two to focus on in this one.

Carolina Panthers Notable Injuries: QB PJ Walker (O), DT Matt Ioannidis (O), S Myles Hartsfield (D)

The Baltimore Ravens have won three straight games and have a one game lead in the AFC North. Lamar Jackson is putting together another impressive year. The dual threat quarterback leads the second-best rushing attack in all of football. The Ravens will be massive favorites when they welcome the Panthers to M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday.

Cleveland Browns (+280) at Buffalo Bills (-360) – Sunday 1:00 PM EST

Coming off another loss in Week 10, the Cleveland Browns head to Detroit to face the Buffalo Bills. Yes, you read that correctly. With a snowfall prediction of six feet in Buffalo on Sunday, the NFL decided to move this game. Especially since only the 6’ 5” Josh Allen and a few others would be able to see over the accumulation.

Last week in Miami, the Browns fell behind early and were unable to overcome the Dolphins. Star running back Nick Chubb had 63 yards and a touchdown but only got the ball 11 times given the deficit. This week Chubb will face a defense that has been torched on the ground over the past two weeks. Quarterback Jacoby Brissett threw for 212 yards last week and rushed for another 40 yards. He’ll need to have the game of the season if he wants to keep up with the Buffalo offense.

Cleveland Browns Notable Injuries: CB Greg Newsome II (Q), S D’Anthony Bell (O), G Michael Dunn (O), TE David Njoku (Q)

It will likely go down as the game of the year, but Buffalo was on the losing end of it. Last week at home, the Bills lost to Minnesota in a game that also featured the catch of the year. It was another amazing grab from Buffalo’s wide receiver Stefon Diggs, but also a poorly timed fumble. That was the Bills’ second loss in a row, and they now find themselves in third place in the division.

This week, Josh Allen and company will look to silence any doubt and take care of business against a struggling Browns team. Allen appears to be back to full health this week. If his line can protect him from Myles Garrett and Jadeveon Clowney, he will have a statement-win game.

Buffalo Bills Notable Injuries: LB Tremaine Edmunds (O), CB Tre’Davious White (O), CB Kaiir Elam (Q), S Jordan Poyer (Q)

Cleveland Browns vs Buffalo Bills NFL Week 11 Picks

It is an unfortunate place the Browns find themselves in at this point in the season. They are on a bad skid and are facing a bear that has been poked. This week the Bills will be firing on all pistons and the game being moved may be an advantage. Getting them out of the tri-state area where they just dropped two games in a row may be a blessing. It will allow them to get back to dominating football.

Detroit Lions (+140) at New York Giants (-160) – Sunday 1:00 PM EST

The Lions’ got in the win column again last week in Chicago. In Week 11 they will head to the Meadowlands looking to make it three in a row. Detroit quarterback Jared Goff had a fine game last week, throwing for 236 yards and a touchdown. Wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown was his favorite target, catching 10 of 11 balls for 120 yards.

On the ground, Detroit had just shy of 100 yards spread over five different ball carriers, including Goff. This week they face a Giants defense that has not stopped the running game well this season. However, they will blitz Goff often. Detroit will have to lean on a strong offensive line and quick options to move the ball.

Detroit Lions Notable Injuries: WR Jameson Williams (O), RB Jamaal Williams (Q), WR Josh Reynolds (Q)

The Giants also come into this game off a win last week over Houston. In the victory, running back Saquon Barkley ran for over 150 yards and a touchdown, bringing his season total to six. Quarterback Daniel Jones also had a strong outing against a decent secondary, throwing for 200 yards and 2 touchdowns. Jones spread the ball around well, with five receivers having had 2 or 3 catches and one for Barkley.

This week, both the running game and passing game should be on display against a Lions’ defense that has allowed the most points against in the league. Last week Detroit allowed over 400 yards of offense, 250 of which was on the ground. That was to the Bears.

New York Giants Notable Injuries: DT Kayvon Thibodeaux (Q), WR Wan’Dale Robinson (Q)

Detroit Lions vs New York Giants NFL Week 11 Picks

The Lions have managed this whole season so far in either high scoring games and/or comebacks. It seems on paper like a good offense could outscore any team, but Jared Goff’s Detroit offense is not strong enough for that and the defense won’t be able to stop Barkley and Jones. While this game feels like it could be a trap it is more likely that any thoughts of a Lion’s winning streak end this week.

Final Score: New York 29 – Detroit 20

Wicked Wager – New York Giants -3 (-110)

Wicked Player Prop – Saquon Barkley 100+ Rushing Yards and 1+ Touchdown (+300)

Las Vegas Raiders (+125) at Denver Broncos (-145) – Sunday 4:05 PM EST

Entering Week 11, the Raiders find themselves on a 3-game losing streak and all to teams with losing records. Last week that loss came to Indianapolis, even after Carr threw for 250 yards and 2 touchdowns. This week, they’ll head to Denver for a rematch against another division rival at the bottom of the AFC West.

In Week 4 the Raiders got their first win of the season beating Denver 32-23. However, it was a game that was tighter than the score shows. In that game Carr threw for under 200 yards and running back Josh Jacobs carried the load, with 144 yards and 2 scores. That was a solid offensive showing, scoring 26 points on a Denver defense that’s allowing only 16.6 points per game. The other touchdown was scored by the defense. This week they will look to score all they can and lean on their own defense to keep the weak Denver offense off the field.

Las Vegas Raiders Notable Injuries: LB Denzel Perryman (Q), CB Sam Webb (Q), WR Davante Adams (Q)

Different city, different jersey colors, similar story. Denver brought in quarterback Russel Wilson this season to compete in one of the tougher AFC divisions with high hopes. However, after losing to the Raiders in Week 4 they have only won one game and find themselves at the bottom of the division.

Denver’s defense is allowing the least points per game in the league, but the offense also isn’t scoring. Wilson is averaging almost 250 yards per game and has seven touchdowns to five interceptions this season. Running backs Melvin Gordon III and Latavius Murray are averaging 32 yards per game and 43 yards per game, respectively. Even receivers Cortland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy have had slower than expected seasons. They’re averaging just under 60 yards per game and 50 yards per game receiving.

For Denver to find the win column this week the offense will need to score more than it has.

While this week feels like make-or-break for both teams, for some reason the Raiders appear more desperate. Watch for the offense to click again this week and for the Bronco offense to struggle, even being at home. The score may stay close until the 4th quarter, but a pair of Raider touchdowns will seal the deal.

Dallas Cowboys (-120) at Minnesota Vikings (+100) – Sunday, 4:25 PM EST

Last week the Cowboys 195-0 winning streak when leading after three quarters was snapped. The team let a 14-point lead slip away at the hands of Aaron Rodgers and company. The loss was particularly tough because it put them a game back of the Giants with a tough opponent looming. Dallas heads into Week 11 with a bottom five run defense in the game. They will look to fix that problem this week against Dalvin Cook. Though he’s a guy that’s been a big problem for opposing defenses this year.

Dallas Cowboys Notable Injuries: RB Ezekiel Elliott (Q), DE Demarcus Lawrence (Q), LB Anthony Barr (Q), CB Anthony Brown (Q)

Against all odds the Vikings were able to move to 8-1 after an overtime victory in Buffalo last Sunday. Not many critics expected the Vikings to be where they are today. However, the team continues to rack up great team performances. Despite the phenomenal season this team is having, they will head into a Week 11 home game as underdogs.

The matchup of two NFC powerhouses will ultimately go in favor of the home team. The Vikings are just playing too good right now, and more importantly, playing as a team. Justin Jefferson and Dalvin Cook will end up being too much for the Cowboys defense.

Final Score: Minnesota 31 – Dallas 23

Wicked Wagers – Vikings ML (+100) / Over 48.5 (-110)

Wicked Player Prop – Justin Jefferson Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-105)

Cincinnati Bengals (-180) at Pittsburgh Steelers (+155) – Sunday, 4:25 PM EST

The Bengals have recovered from back-to-back losses to start the year. They’re in the wild card hunt with plenty of time left in the season. However, they’ll now have to face TJ Watt again. Watt terrorized this team in Week 1 before getting injured. Ja’Marr Chase remains out, so beating this Steelers team on the road will be no easy task.

Cincinnati will get a boost on the defensive side of the ball with DJ Reader returning to the lineup. They’ll need all the help they can get as Najee Harris tries again to break through this sophomore slump.

Cincinnati Bengals Notable Injuries: WR Ja’Marr Chase (O), DT Josh Tupou (O)

The Steelers offensive ineptitude this year behind Matt Canada has been alarming. The last time this team scored more than 30 points in a game was Week 11 of last season. However, that’s what you get if you fail to use the middle third of the field when designing a game plan. After the trade of Chase Claypool, they will try to get George Pickens more involved in the passing game.

The defense of the Steelers will be the difference maker in this game. If Watt can get to Burrow as often as he did in week 1, then this could be a long afternoon.

The win is a much needed one for Cincinnati, who will need every victory they can get as their schedule gets tougher the rest of the way.

Kansas City Chiefs (-225) at Los Angeles Chargers (+190) – Sunday 8:20 PM EST

The Kansas City Chiefs come into this divisional rematch on a 3-game win streak. They are also two games up on Los Angeles in the AFC West. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes comes into this one of an incredible performance, throwing for 330 yards and four touchdowns last week. The Kansas City offense also did what it does best in spreading the ball around. Tight end Travis Kelce was the leading receiver with 81 yards, but eight different Chiefs caught passes from Mahomes. Kelce leads all tight ends with 740 yards receiving this season and Mahomes leads quarterbacks in passing yards.

This week they will face a Chargers defense that has defended the pass well, including against tight ends. In their Week 3 matchup, the Chargers held Kelce to just 50 yards receiving. This will be the key in this one, especially since the Kansas City receivers are banged up.

Kansas City Chiefs Notable Injuries: RB Jerick McKinnon (Q), WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling (Q), JuJu WR Smith-Schuster (O) WR Mecole Hardman (IR)

The Chargers were keeping up with Kansas City in the division until dropping a game last week. However, it makes sense since it was against one of the best defenses in football. Quarterback Justin Herbert has managed an offense that has been banged up, including his own rib injury. Wide receiver Keenan Allen has not contributed much this season and Mike Williams has been sidelined since Week 7. In their absence, running back Austin Ekeler has carried the load for the offense. He’s rushed for 450 yards and leads the team in receptions, and by a wide margin.

This week the Chargers get their rematch against the Chiefs after dropping the first matchup. In that game, they had the lead by 10 points in the second half but went on to lose. To win at home this week, Herbert and the defense will have to have big games but so will the supporting cast. We’ll need to see big games from wide receiver DeAndre Carter and whoever is healthy in the Williams/Allen combo.
