NFL Week 10 Picks, Game Previews, and Odds

by | Nov 12, 2022 | Football

We’ve officially eclipsed the half way mark of the 2022 NFL season, and it’s been a hell of a ride. All of the parody we’ve seen so far this season will make these Week 10 NFL picks difficult, but we’re confident. Tail these and cash some tickets.

Much will be decided this week as the current 2nd place team in the NFC takes on the top AFC team. Also, the Eagles will try to stay perfect against a surging Commanders team with Heinicke.

Seattle Seahawks (+128) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-148) – Sunday, 9:30 AM EST

Week 10’s Sunday games kick off bright and early, all the way from Munich, Germany. Last week against the Los Angeles Rams, Tampa’s offense ran like we’ve become accustomed to this year. They were horrible on the ground and Tom Brady and the receivers seemed out of sync. Another slew of dropped balls certainly didn’t help either. However, on their final possession, Brady drove the Buccaneers down the field and connected with tight end Cade Otton to take the lead with 9 seconds left. Tampa hopes to carry the momentum from last week into this one and get to 5-5.

The Seahawks once had the worst defense in the league, but now they’re playing above average. The Bucs will have their work cut out for them in this one.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Notable Injuries: G Luke Goedeke (O), WR Russell Gage (O), WR Mike Evans (Q)

It was a close game between the Seahawks and Cardinals for much of last week with the lead going back and forth a handful of times. However, Seattle was able to outlast Arizona and won 31-21.

Geno Smith had a solid game, ending with 275 yards and two touchdowns. However, he had a costly interception that the Cardinals took back for six points. The Buccaneers have a healthy secondary and Carlton Davis has emerged as a top cornerback, so Smith will have to be careful with the ball. The good news is that Kenneth Walker has been an absolute stud at the running back position. Also, the Buccaneers are dead last in rush defense.

Seattle Seahawks Notable Injuries: WR Marquise Goodwin (Q), DE Shelby Harris (P)

Seahawks vs Buccaneers NFL Week 10 Picks

Tom Brady found his mojo and it carries over to this game. It’ll be a close game throughout the morning because the Buccaneers don’t have an answer to Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker. Look for Mike Evans to have a big impact in this one. Brady goes 2-0 post divorce.

Final Score: Tampa Bay 24 – Seattle 23

Denver Broncos (+123) at Tennessee Titans (-152) – Sunday, 1:00 PM EST

The Denver Broncos will hit the second half of their season with every game being a must win. Unfortunately, that’s what a few game changing mistakes early in the season gets you in this league. All mistakes aside, the Broncos have played phenomenal team defense this year. They’re second in the league in opponent points per game. You’d like to think that would get you better than a 3-5 record, especially after signing a high-profile quarterback. We’ll see what this offense can bring in Tennessee.

Denver Broncos Notable Injuries: WR KJ Hamler (O), FB Andrew Beck (O), LB Baron Browning (O)

After injuring his ankle and sitting for two games, quarterback Ryan Tannehill is hoping to make a return this Sunday. It will be a much-needed boost for this team. Especially after we saw rookie quarterback Malik Willis struggle to throw the football in his first two career starts. Fortunately for Tennessee they were able split those two games, thanks to the explosiveness of running back Derrick Henry. He’ll face a bigger test this weekend, with the Denver defense looming.

Tennessee Titans Notable Injuries: QB Ryan Tannehill (Q), DT Jeffery Simmons (O), LB Zach Cunningham (O), DE Bud Dupree (O), S Amani Hooker (O)

Wicked Wagers – Titans -2.5 (-115) / Under 38.5 (-110)

Wicked Player Prop – Derrick Henry Total Rushing Yards Over 107.5 (-114)

Minnesota Vikings (+143) at Buffalo Bills (-177) – Sunday, 1:00 PM EST

The Minnesota Vikings will be coming into Week 10 with a 7-1 record. That is pretty impressive for a team with a first-year head coach. Not to mention, a team that was an afterthought in the preseason division race next to the Green Bay Packers. Kirk Cousins and Justin Jefferson have built a special connection together in Minnesota. They’ll face their biggest test of the season in what is a talented Buffalo Bills defense.

Minnesota Vikings Notable Injuries: DT Dalvin Tomlinson (O), CB Cam Dantzler (O)

The Buffalo Bills may be without Josh Allen* this week. The All-Pro quarterback suffered a UCL injury in the 4th quarter of last week’s loss. Coach Sean McDermott has said they will be taking his injury on an ‘hour to hour’ basis following Allen’s return to practice with limited action Friday. If Allen isn’t able to go it will mean Case Keenum* will get the start against the team he led to the NFC Championship five years ago.

Houston Texans (+185) at New York Giants (-230) – Sunday, 1:00 PM EST

The Texans, who stand at 1-6-1, don’t have much to play for the rest of the way. Their top offensive weapon, Brandin Cooks, has voiced his frustrations publicly after not getting traded to a contender at the deadline. Quarterback Davis Mills isn’t seen as the long-term option. This team now appears to be setting their sights on Bryce Young or CJ Stroud in April.

Houston Texans Notable Injuries: WR Brandin Cooks* (Q), WR Nico Collins (Q), DT Maliek Collins (Q)

The Giants will be coming out of their bye week with a 6-2 record. The hope is that Saquon Barkley can continue the electric season he’s having. Also, for Daniel Jones to keep progressing as a passer. The defense has been great this year and the G-Men will be in firm control of their playoff destiny. Especially as they enter the cupcake portion of their schedule.

The Giants will come away with an ugly win in this one. Saquon Barkley will lead the way but Daniel Jones will struggle. The ineptitude of the Texans offense will be the biggest driving factor towards the Giants 7th win of the season.

Final Score: New York 16 – Houston 10

Wicked Wagers – New York -4.5 (-110) / Under 40.5 (-112)

Wicked Player Prop – Daniel Jones Total Passing Yards Under 188.5 (-115)

Jacksonville Jaguars (+325) at Kansas City Chiefs (-435) – Sunday, 1:00 PM EST

The Jaguars snapped a five-game losing streak in their most recent contest against the Raiders. It was their first one possession win of the season in what was a positive momentum game for this team. They’ll face a much bigger test this week at Kansas City. The Chiefs have the best offense in the game and oddsmakers don’t think the Jags stand a chance.

Jacksonville Jaguars Notable Injuries: None

The Chiefs came away with a big overtime victory last week against the Titans. Patrick Mahomes has proved that he’s still one of the best in the game, despite the departure of Tyreek Hill. He threw 68 passes in last week’s contest, a number that’s not sustainable moving forward. Andy Reid will look to balance out the offensive attack against the Jags this week.

New Orleans Saints (-125) at Pittsburgh Steelers (+105) – Sunday, 1:00 PM EST

There are two story lines for the New Orleans Saints in 2022. First, they have a .333-win percentage and are only one game back in the NFC South. The second, coming off a loss on Monday night to the Ravens, are they truly that good of a team.

The Saints will stay in the AFC North by heading to Pittsburgh this week. The banged up New Orleans defense will need to hold up. Last week the Saints defense held Baltimore quarterback Lamar Jackson to only 133 yards, but the 27 points Baltimore scored was too much to overcome. The prior week they had completely shut out Las Vegas and before that allowed 42 points to Arizona. With an offense led by quarterbacks Andy Dalton and Taysom Hill, the Saints’ best strategy relies on running the ball (and taking it out of Dalton’s hands) while looking to the defense to keep the score low on the other side.

New Orleans Saints Notable Injuries: CB Marshon Lattimore (Q), RB Mark Ingram II (Q), WR Jarvis Landry (Q), Andrus Peat (Q), Pete Werner (Q)

The Steelers come into this game having not won since mid-October, after losing two straight going into the bye week last week. The offense has scored the fewest points in the league, led by rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett who has thrown two touchdowns and eight interceptions. Against Philadelphia two weeks ago he threw for under 200 yards and one of those picks. The Pittsburgh defense has not been stellar either, allowing Philadelphia quarterback Jalen Hurts to throw 4 touchdowns and the offense over 400 total yards. This week will be a big week for the defense, however, as veteran T.J. Watt will be returning.

New Orleans Saints vs Pittsburgh Steelers NFL Week 10 Picks

Watch for the Saints to hit the ground running, literally. In games where they have rushed for less than 115 yards, they are 0-5 on the season. A combination of running the ball, and thus running the clock, plus a Pittsburgh offense that has not performed well will leave this game low scoring but give Dalton and the Saints enough chances to win.

Wicked Wagers – Under 40 (-105) / Saints -3 (+107)

Detroit Lions (+128) at Chicago Bears (-150) – Sunday, 1:00PM EST

Detroit stunned the Green Bay Packers in a low scoring game, winning with the final score of 15-9. The Lions were able to capitalize on a couple of red zone interceptions and were stingy on the ground. Divisional games tend to be close and tough, but no one expected the Packers to put up only one touchdown against a defense that ranks almost last in every metric. This week will be a tougher game for Detroit. The Bears are starting to find their groove, but their defense against the run ranks 30th, so expect the Lions to have some success on the ground.

Detroit Lions Notable Injuries: RB D’Andre Swift (Q), WR Josh Reynolds (Q)

The Chicago Bears lost to the Dolphins last week at home. However, there were some positives to take away on the offensive side of the ball. One of those positives being that Justin Fields had one of, if not the best game of his young career. Miami couldn’t find a solution for Fields’ athleticism and legs, and he totaled a whopping 178 yards on the ground. But he wasn’t only good on the ground. Sure, he only had 123 yards through the air, but he threw three touchdowns with no interceptions. The Lion’s defense is flat out bad, so the Bears offense shouldn’t struggle to move the ball in Sunday’s game.

Lions’ vs Bears Week 10 NFL Picks

Justin Fields is starting to hit his stride, and he will follow up last week’s performance with another great outing. We should temper our expectations for Fields on the ground, but Detroit’s secondary has been bad. That means he’ll be able to push the ball down the field to wide receivers Keanu Neal and Chase Claypool with ease.

Final Score: Chicago 31 – Detroit 24

Wicked Wager – Bears Moneyline (-150)

Wicked Prop – Chicago First to 30 Points (+200)

Cleveland Browns (+150) at Miami Dolphins (-180) – Sunday, 1:00 PM EST

Cleveland’s last game was a rout of the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 9’s Monday night football game. They won with a final score of 32-13. The Browns defense showed out with a few turnovers and shut out the Jamarr-less Bengals for the first three quarters.

While quarterback Jacoby Brissett had his best game as a Brown, he also turned the ball over several times. If the Browns have any chance to win on Sunday, Brissett can’t afford to give the Dolphins any extra chances. Running Back Nick Chubb racked up 101 yards on the ground and found the endzone twice last week. He’ll have to have a monster game if the Browns are to upset the Dolphins.

Browns Notable Injuries: TE David Njoku (O), G Michael Dunn (Q)

Miami has been a team of opposites this season. They have the 2nd best passing game in the league, but on the ground, they’ve been one of the worst. Their defense is ranked in the bottom third in every category, so they’ve been involved in a handful of shootouts.

Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle have carried not only this whole offense, but the team as well. Hill has the most receiving yards in the league by almost 300, and Waddle is just outside the top-10. Their aerial assault is one of the best in the league and the Browns are only average in pass defense.

Dolphins Notable Injuries: TE Hunter Long (Q), OT Terron Armstead (Q)

Arizona Cardinals (+135) at Los Angeles Rams (-160) – Sunday, 4:25 PM EST

The Arizona Cardinals head to Los Angeles this week for a division rematch with the Rams. In their matchup in Week 3 at Arizona, the Cardinals fell to the Rams 20-12. In that game, Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray threw for over 300 yards on 58 pass attempts. However, he was unable to use his legs effectively playing from behind. In week 9, Murray was able to run more, scrambling for 60 yards of his 235 total yards. The challenge he faces this season, however, is holding on to the ball. Murray has eight fumbles already and has thrown six interceptions.

In this rematch, the Cardinals will have wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins back from suspension. Hopkins only had 36 yards and a touchdown last week but has 300 yards and 2 touchdowns in just three games this season. He will face Rams corner Jalen Ramsey on most plays, which is a matchup that is always fun to watch.

Arizona Cardinals Notable Injuries: DE J.J. Watt (Q), CB Byron Murphy Jr. (Q), OG Will Hernandez (IR), DT Antwaun Woods (O), QB Kyler Murray (Q)

After going 12-5 and winning the Super Bowl just a season ago, the Rams enter this game sitting at 3-5. Last week, the defending champions were victims of a vintage Tom Brady game-winning drive in the fourth quarter. However, they already had the worst 4th quarter differential in the league, being outscored 44-3 in the final frame this season. One of the three wins this season has already been in Arizona but this one won’t be as easy and is another must-win for the Rams. Quarterback Matthew Stafford is averaging 240 yards per game but has thrown 8 interceptions to his 8 touchdowns. Last week he only had 165 yards, 40 of which were to anyone not named Cooper Kupp.

Arizona Cardinals vs Los Angeles Rams NFL Week 10 Picks

Watch for this matchup to be back and forth throughout. Despite each team having disappointing records, you can bet each will show up for this matchup. Intra division matchups are always the most competitive, plus the loser owning the bottom of the division.

Cooper Kupp has been held in check by Arizona in the past, but their defense couldn’t stop anything through the air last week and is allowing the second most points per game. Expect Hopkins to have a big game on the other side and for Arizona to win this one in the final five minutes.

Final Score: Arizona 27 – Los Angeles 24

Wicked Wager – Cardinals ML (+135)

Wicked Player Prop – DeAndre Hopkins Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+135)

Los Angeles Chargers (+245) at San Francisco 49ers (-295) – Sunday at 8:20 PM EST

The Chargers come into Week 10 just one game back in the AFC West after pulling out a win last week to keep pace with Kansas City. This week they will take their banged-up offense to Levi’s Stadium to take on a rested 49ers team. Quarterback Justin Herbert is reportedly as healthy as he has been all season, but wide receiver Keenan Allen is questionable and has been missing practice while Mike Williams is listed as out. Neither receiver played last week either and the offense is showing it, having not scored more than 23 points since week 5. Running back Austin Ekeler is having a fine season but will face the defense allowing the least yards per carry in 2022. Herbert will need him as another target however: he is averaging almost 50 yards receiving per game. The Chargers defense will need to keep this a low scoring affair, but even Asante Samuel and Derwin James will have their hands full with so many targets on San Francisco’s offense.

Los Angeles Chargers Notable Injuries: WR Mike Williams (O), WR Keenan Allen (Q)

Coming off a bye week the 49ers will play host this week to another in-state matchup. Francisco can make up a game on the Seahawks after their loss in Germany to the Buccaneers but either way.

In his second game with the team before the bye, new running back Christian McCaffrey had three touchdowns: one passing, one receiving, and one rushing. This week, he will be even more familiar with the offense and facing a Chargers’ defense that allows the most yards per carry in the league. In addition, the San Francisco offense will have Deebo Samuel back healthy this week to a deep threat. On the other side, the 49ers defense has only allowed 18 points per game and have forced 9 turnovers. The defense should feast in this one as well, a game where the top opposing targets have been ruled out.

Los Angeles Chargers vs San Francisco 49ers NFL Week 10 Picks

Two teams on the west coast fighting for their place in their respective divisions, it should be a great matchup. Unfortunately for the Chargers, they come into this game over-matched. Watch for San Francisco’s defense to get to Herbert, slow Ekeler on the ground, and keep Los Angeles off the board often. Although Jimmy Garoppolo has not looked like the best quarterback in the NFC West (who would’ve guessed that would be Geno Smith?), the offense around him is too balanced for the Chargers to stop.

Final Score: San Francisco 31 – Los Angeles 23

Wicked Wagers – 49ers -7 points (-110) / Over 45 (-110)

Wicked Player Prop – George Kittle Total Receiving Yards Over 42.5 (-120)
